Pre Ride Checks

Before setting of on your favorite route it is important to check your bike over and make sure that it is ready to go, it is an easy thing to over look, and one that could easily cost you.

  1. The first thing to check is your tyres. Are your tires pumped to the right pressure, make sure that you have the tyres going in  the right direction (look for the marker on the tyre wall). Another quick tyre check is simply that you still have tread.

  2. Make sure that the quick releases are set correctly, if they are slack you can easily find yourself saying good-bye wheel.

  3. Make sure that the brakes are not rubbing when the wheel spins, if they are make sure that the wheel is not buckled (to much) and that the brakes are pulling evenly
