How to get there

Another Norfolk,England play area for you to enjoy. Leave Thetford and head towards Newmarket on the A11, just after Elverden turn right on the B1106, go past the Mayday Farm and your there, pull in on one of the access roads and enjoy. The Second lay-by on the right past Mayday Farm will park you at the end of the "Beast of the East", don't ride up it as it very twisty and very fast. Ask advice on how to get up to the Top.

Take the A14 from the midland or M11 from the south will take you to the A11 towards Thetford. These roads get very busy. Take the A1065 before Thetford and this will take you to the Actual Thetford Forest Visitors Centre at Brandon (Get to Mundford and you have gone to far)

What's there

Thetford forest is a man made forest that was planted to stop soil erosion that was cause by the sandy desert that once was. The managed tree layout makes for great single track riding, and just about every part of the forest has at least one great single track hidden in it. The "Beast of the East" or "Roller coaster" is a definite must ride, once you find it thought don't ride up it the wrong was as many accidents happen this way. The Beast is a long twisting single track with little warning of oncoming traffic.

Thetford Forest is littered with single tracks created by man management of the whole area. There are a few bomb holes to practice on, busy with bikers on a Sunday morning. occasional race meetings.
