Aston Hill

A famous one this one, home of a National downhill course, appears in loads of mags .... I'm not gona give you loads of details about routes, how to get there and the likes as Firecreast have their very own well thought out site which gives your loads of details. After looking at the site our expectations where high as we set out on the 3rd March 2002 for our first visit to this locations (ok Gavin had been there before when he won a DH NPS (I think) but that don't count)

On our visit the XC course was virtually unrideable so we gave up trying and concentrate on the DH runs (black and DH3) and the beginning of the XC coarse which contains lots of nice downhill switch backs an the likes. I must confess that in the conditions that we visited this location (wet and muddy) I found the black downhill run to be the easiest, DH3 seemed to have to many slippery roots to mess you up on

Overall a great location to ride ..... just go when it's dry
